Role title: Business Development Manager
Role purpose: Support Business Development unit to achieve a sustainable business growth by capturing opportunities of strategic importance and ensure their successful implementation.
Key accountabilities and ownership
• Research, identify and size new business opportunities of strategic importance:
• Foster and develop relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders and ensure their proper engagement
• Convert ideas into business plan prospects
• Define specific action plans after each initiative
• Prepare Reports for Senior Management on regular basis on the Progress of each initiative
• For each successful initiative, ensure a smooth transition to the ‘business-as-usual’ activities of the organization.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
• Good knowledge of Albanian telecoms market:
o key players
o market positioning of each player (converged, mobile, ISP, content providers, etc);
o market share of each player in their market and total telecoms market;
o strengths and weakness of key players.
• Excellent understanding of the Information, Communication and Telecommunications Technologies
• Strategic thinking:
o understand the industry trends;
o focus on the bigger picture;
o setting objectives in line with VFAL strategy.
• Advanced project management capabilities
Key performance indicators:
• Timely & accurate reporting of the progress update of each initiative
