VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
SOS Children’s Villages Albania is a private, nongovernmental and nonprofit organization, which makes every attempt to offer a permanent home to the children who have lost their parents or for several reasons have no possibility to live with them. The SOS Children’s Village also strongly support the children at risk of losing their families, and the families in need through implementation of different projects aiming at the further development of their capacities.
The SOS Children’s Village is going to implement a new project, "A Right to Family - De-Institutionalisation to Reform Child Protection Systems.
The project aims to improve children's rights with a specific focus on supporting the reform of alternative childcare systems and the de-institutionalisation process.
Duration of the Project till April 30, 2025.
SOS Children’s Villages Albania is looking for a suitable person for the position of Project Manager
The Project Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management and implementation of the project based on Grant requirements as well as SOS Children’s Villages Requirement. He / she will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring of activities, personnel management, financial control and reporting in accordance with the respective requirements.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and management of the project; is responsible for overall project monitoring, evaluation, reporting and communication.
- Ensure high quality project implementation with due respect to donor requirements and SOS CV Albania regulations and standard;
- With key project staff and stakeholders, ensure project strategic objectives and results are fully accomplished and meet donor requirements;
- Maintain written track record of all project-related communication and agreements; Keep all project-related documentation on file;
- Communicate on a regular basis with the project’s lead applicant and report on the project’s progress;
- Supervise overall implementation, reporting and evaluation of the Project and oversee program communication strategy;
- Review on regular basis project details, deliverables and schedules as per project Implementation Plan;
- Ensure progress and final reports are produced on time, in quality manner as per donor requirements;
- Ensure wide dissemination and visibility of project achievements;
- Lead Project Implementation team towards the achievements of project’s objectives with high quality standards;
- In line with SOS CV Albania standards for leadership framework provide functional leadership for project staff;
- Support professional and personal development of staff.
- University degree in economics, management or social sciences (Master degree in relevant field would be an advantage);
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in the field of Project Management;
- Documented experience in implementation of socially meaningful projects, co-funded by institutional donors; experience in working in an NGO
- Experience in the following areas: human resource management, finance, good knowledge of local labour law, social services provision, community development
- Competences in finance, operations and team management would be an advantage;
- Experience in child rights issues and alternative care would be an advantage;
- Fluency in written and spoken English language;
- Driving licence, active driver.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks;
- Efficient task prioritization and time management;
- Flexibility to work both in team and independently;
- Work under time pressure;
- Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking;
