For our client - a private nongovernmental and non-profit organization, We are looking for the following position:
NATIONAL DIRECTOR
DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES
- Lead the strategic planning processes to ensure sustainability and relevance of the National Association’s work (NA)
- Ensure the operational effectiveness of all programmes
- Ensure the implementation of safeguarding principles in the NA
- Ensure the effective and sustainable management of the NA’s financial and other resources
- Ensures an efficient performance management and human resource development system thatguarantees the development of co-workers and the identification of talents; promotes accountability at all levels of the NA
- Promote and manage an appropriate image of the organisation both internally and externally, using values and standards as the basis for shaping the brand
- Promotes long-term stability and financial self-sufficiency by pursuing support from government and private sources with the aim to maximise the fundraising potential
- Implements and monitors the internal control system
- Establishes sound relationships with relevant government authorities and ensures appropriate representation of the organisation’s views
- Builds partnerships with non-governmental organisations
- Supports the development and implementation of sustainable fundraising strategies and grant applications. Supports public relations/marketing activities as necessary and ensures that an appropriate image of the organisation is portrayed
- Fosters a professional relationship and maintains close cooperation with the Regional Office as well as with other units in the General Secretariat; receives guidance, support and monitoring with respect to international standards (from Regional Office); provides specified reports and acts on agreements
- Responsible for implementation and management Protection Policy in NA and for reporting to the national Board
- Responsible for leading the team at national level
- Responsible to report any concerns the organisation has in its programmes and within the communities to the appropriate authorities
- Ensures that co-workers act within national law, Code of Conduct and other requirements
- Ensures confidentiality and sharing of information as needed;
REQUIREMENTS
Education: University degree in business administration, education, social science discipline or similar
Work Experiences: Minimum 5 years leadership experience at a senior management/executive level in a larger or complex organization.
- Prior experience in one or more of the following functional areas: fundraising, marketing, human resources, finance/budgeting, social services provision, community development;
- Experienced in strategy development, change management, driving innovation

- Intercultural, gender and diversity sensitivity: able to bridge different national or organizational cultures and to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment
