• Lead Digital Engineering Channels Chapter
• Work with team members to increase their competence on software design and development
• To be a part of solution in terms of solution of project in her/his responsibility.
• Work with related squad product owners, business owners to follow up performance of team members
Job Responsibility
Your Place In The Team
• Acting as lead for Digital Engineering Channels, products, and services (My Vodafone, Web, TOBI, JUTH, Marketplace) within Engineering Tribe by leading Solution Team
• Responsible for managing the performance and development of the Squad members belonging to the Chapter and champions functional excellence
• This role coordinates knowledge sharing and improved interactions between roles within its own Chapter, similar Chapters within the Tribe and across Tribes respectively.
• Responsible for owning, leading, and driving the relevant experts / specialists sitting across squads / scrums.
• Responsible for driving the Digital Channels Strategy, align with Global Channel Strategy.
• Responsible for Co-Creating, Co-Designing and Co-Developing the Channels Assets Strategy across the Vodafone Engineering Team.
• As the most senior professional, of a chapter, the Chapter Lead is tasked with developing the skills of all chapter members; has line management responsibilities and helps stimulate innovation, ensuring industry trends are being reflected within Vodafone
• To ensure the service delivery is meeting the business and operational standards
• Implementing CI/CD for related domain
• Defines the professional standards/work methodology in the chapter
• Leads and develops the abilities and skills of the members of the chapter, increasing their productivity in the delivery of value for clients;
• Defines processes of interaction, transfer of knowledge and tool sharing among the members of the chapter;
• Holds responsibility for the performance evaluation of the members of the chapter regarding their personal development;
• Works with the Tribe Lead to provide workforce planning, to include recruitment and development;
• Participates as an expert, solving complex problems related to area of expertise on an ad-hoc basis with other teams within the Tribe;
• Acts as servant leader, rather than line manager, maturing the organisation readiness, as opposed to controlling the work;
• Establishes regular feedback sessions and owns the PD cycle for chapter members; Acts as a mentor for the specialist resources within their practice, helping them grow in expertise and experience new areas.
We are looking for you if you have
• 10+ years of software analysis/design/development/engineering experience
• Experience in management
• Telecommunication experience is a plus
• In depth understanding of the full software development lifecycle
• Has a deep knowledge of software technology and development processes, tools and techniques, particularly Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD
• Experience on Agile methodologies.
• Experience on Micro-service architecture and opensource technologies
• Experience on Mobile Application Development
• Experience on Vendor Management/Relations
• Experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best engineering practices
• Ability to a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
• Result oriented, strongly motivated leader with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
• Eagerness for quality and continuous improvement of processes
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Very good level of English and Albanian
