Description
Ensure an effective and efficient financial accounting for accounts receivable and the preparation of internal reporting, application of operating procedures for accounts receivable cycle in compliance with Vodafone Group standards and Statutory requirements.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Responsible for the accuracy of the processes assigned such as interconnection, commissions, ICO, leased lines. netting, share revenues, reverse charges,
• Responsible for the overall integrity of the customers’ sub-ledger and management of associated risks and controls.
• Accountable for evaluation of commercial policy changes and new agreements.
• Carry out monthly BSR reconciliation for all AR related GLs assigned.
• Ensure the compliance with applicable accounting & governance standards for invoice postings (VF Group Accounting Standards, Local GAAP,)
• Provide Revenue reporting for all related streams as interconnection, roaming, terminals both month-end and ad-hoc support for the business.
• Prepare month end close accruals for non-invoiced receivables.
• Provide relevant, accurate and timely AR related data for Financial Statements and other stakeholders (Group, internal & external auditors)
• Participate and support local and Group driven AR pdriven AR projects for system upgrades, changes etc.
• Be an internal subject matter expert, providing review and challenge on Receivables reported metrics produced by various internal teams.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
• 3-5 years related experience
• Proficient in use of Accounting applications, experience with SAP, is an advantage.
• Proficient Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
• Motivated and driven to deliver results
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Possess a degree on Finance or other relevant fields
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of English
