Description
Support the Central Cyber Defence team to assess and reduce Cyber Risk leading the Vulnerability Management program and handling Security Incidents. Operate a role involving penetration testing and vulnerability assessment activities of complex applications, operating systems and networks.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Ensure that Vulnerability Management activities are carried out across company perimeter, lining-up with owners about detected vulnerabilities
• Plan and coordinate all activities required to perform Penetration Tests, Red/Blue Teaming, Vulnerability Assessment and Incident Exercises
• Perform risk analysis, support and track remediation plans also governing the risk acceptance process as results of ethical hacking activities
• Facilitate interactions between Cyber Defence and other VF-AL teams, managing relationship with Virtual Security community, Engineering and Operation teams
• Lead incident response and post incident activities for high severity incidents ensuring that lessons learnt are distributed to all key stakeholders
• Train the new engineers of the team to acquire and improve the basic techniques for the management of the cyber related platforms.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Good understanding of Cyber Security related topics
• Good knowledge of ICT technologies and architectures; knowledge of the Telco industry main topics.
• Knowledge of an information security framework (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) would be a plus
• Understanding of the end-to-end Vulnerability Management process and related industry standards, such as CVE, CVSS would be a plusGood understanding of cyber intelligence risks and threats.
• Experience in Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing and Red Teaming activities engaging as a coordinator.
• Knowledge of the main Vulnerability Scanning tools and experience in the interpretation/analysis of their results
• Basic knowledge in scripting languages and power shell.
• Be compliant with information security requirements.
• Aptitude for assessing Security related issues and requirements from both a business and Information Security perspective.
• Team working
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Bachelor /Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering (or an equivalent education path)
• Fluency in English
• Certifications in Cyber Security or Information Security would be a plus
• Knowledge on IT and Security technologies like AV/HIDS, IDPS, WAF etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
• Be conscious of company’s assets and security issues
