Description
The Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for ensuring that Vodafone Albania products and services are designed meeting Vodafone security requirements and providing controls to counter emerging threats and evolving technology. This role requires strong relationships across the organisation to drive optimal collaboration and alignment.
Main responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement security controls and tools that improve the defence of Vodafone infrastructure and applications.
• Ensure that appropriate levels of security are embedded within our solutions and that these are documented, communicated internally and continually evaluated.
• Provide technical Security subject matter expertise to drive the implementation of security controls for IT and Network systems
• Provide risk evaluation for any security vulnerably and recommendation for risk reduction.
• Help automating security process to reduce as much manual effort as possible.
• Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities.
• Collaborate with Governance, Risk and Control department to meet security KPI.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Secure by design: provide the requirements to ensure products and systems are compliant with Vodafone security standard for in-house and cloud-based solution.
• Assurance E2E: verify that products and services are compliant to Vodafone security standard.
• Provide go/no go to projects based on Security test outputs and remediation activities.
• Provide answers to cyber security requirements on Customer bids.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Solid knowledge of IT and Network Security technologies.
• Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems knowledge
• Router, switch and VLAN security
• Knowledge of mobile Telco networks (2G/4G/5G, circuit switched, packet switched, IMS, mobile and fixed services.
• Thorough understanding of relevant industry security standards and protocols including ISO27001, 3GPP and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST);
• Perimeter security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, network access controls, and network segmentation
• Network security architecture development and definition
• Cloud Platform Security (AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google), API security, CASB
• Experience with VMWare ESX, NFV and NSX
• Risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, authentication technologies and security attack pathologies
• Excellent communication capabilities to provide rapid and concise summaries of complex scenarios.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in quantitative fields like Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Must have fluency in Italian and English.
• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in a telecom-s, banking, insurance, digital services sector.
• Be customer oriented
• Be conscious of company’s assets and security issues
• Relevant certs are an advantage, (e.g.: CISSP, CEH, CISM, etc.)
• Familiar with the laws, regulations, industry standards and guidance pertaining to Data Protection, Information Security, Data Protection and Telecommunication Industry.
