Fiber Optic Technician (m)

Purpose of Position:
Responsible for planning, monitoring, operation and maintenance of all fiber optic network.

Main Tasks:
  1. Actively Checking and controlling Subcontractor Field Maintenance Teams, work quality, reporting standards, and other FO infrastructure criteria. Follow periodic reports on KPI-s and propose measures to be taken for network improvement;
  2. Preparing reports with final goal improvement of FO BB network. (Investigation, verification of all "weak" points of infrastructure and FO cable itself and proposal how to improve them);
  3. Working in finding utilization of all ODFs in Technology Rooms and register all local FO cables and update their utilization;
  4. Supporting teams keeping FO network availability over 99.5%;
  5. Supporting GPON project implementations;

Skills:

  • Good knowledge MS Office;
  • Availability beyond working hours as well as on holidays;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to find and correct errors in the fiber optic networks;
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good communication skills and knowledge of English language;
Education: High School Diploma;


Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role;
