Role purpose:
• Configuring and troubleshooting local IP systems serving to Vodafone Albania network.
• Implementing, administering and monitoring local LAN and WAN.
• Providing high level technical support for IP systems (Cisco and Huawei) in Vodafone Albania network.
• Managing and troubleshooting IP security systems in Vodafone Albania.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Day to day administrations of systems and servers related to local LAN and WAN (for example Switches, Routers, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, IP/TX controllers etc. ) ensuring high/continuous availability of services to authorized users and customers.
• Maintain network operations equipment and respective software ensuring efficient operations.
• Participate in a variety of IP&TX planning activities in collaboration with GNED and vendors.
• Participate in network security initiatives
• Design local network infrastructure (physical and virtual) ensuring effective/efficient networking systems.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed to resolving immediate issues and follow emergency escalations / notifications and follow emergency escalations / notifications
Job Responsibility
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with IP networks (work experience in an ISP or similar environment or other company associated with networking will be an advantage).
• Very Good knowledge for:
o TCP / IP protocols
o Switching, Routing, QoS, MPLS, Ethernet, WDM, Wireless links.
o Experience with Security network equipment
• CCNA,CCNP certification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Analytic conducting to fault diagnosis and systems recovery.
• Capable of managing and prioritising team work load ensuring business recovery target times.
• Good planning capabilities, ensuring delivery projects targets are achieved.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Engineering degree in Telecommunications or Computer sciences.
• CCNA/CCNP certification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of English (written / spoken / reading).
