Description
• Network & security daily operations and follow up.
• Maintain Network Firewalls and security devices of various vendors, and make sure security policies and configurations best practices are in place.
• Verify that the network is properly protected against internal/external threats. Constantly involved in improvement of Network security controls as per Vodafone standards.
• Respond immediately to network and security incidents.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of network security in all IP network elements (for example but not limited only to: Switches, Routers, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, IP/TX controllers etc).
• Maintain and monitor anti-spam technologies, DDoS, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanning, and network access control.
• Carry out upgrades and modifications to the network, design and implement network security and mechanisms for protecting information.
• Follow and participate in network security initiatives.
• Testing of security solutions by making use of industry standard analysis benchmarks. Implementing corporate security policies and advise organizations on new security technologies.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed to resolve immediate issues and follow emergency escalations / notifications and reporting.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Network and Security domain (work experience in an ISP or similar environment or other company associated with networking security will be an advantage).
• Deep understanding of network attacks, DDoS, Phishing, email protection, encryption, authentication, and log analysis:
o TCP / IP protocols
o Experience with Security network equipment (not limited only to Switches / Routers / FWs / IPS)
• CCNA/CCNP Security trained or equivalent level of knowledge would be an advantage.
• Analytic conducting to fault diagnosis and systems recovery.
• Good planning capabilities, ensuring delivery projects targets are achieved on time.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Engineering degree in Telecommunications or Computer sciences.
• CCNA/CCNP trained or equivalent technology trainings would be an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of English (written / spoken / reading).
