Job Position: Junior Accounting Specialist

Purpose of the job position: Under the overall supervision of the Controlling Supervisor, the Junior Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting in managing all accounting operations of the company. The Junior Accounting Specialist should be committed to providing efficient, reliable support to accounting department members, other departments, and external parties.

The Accounting Specialist should be trustworthy, thorough, and courteous with excellent time management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts payable, collaborate with team members to ensure timely payment of invoices, confirming validity of the debt and gathering appropriate signatures and documentation
• Address any account payables question that appear and work to resolve them. Look for and provide solutions for accounting irregularities
• Maintain the online fiscal portal on a daily basis; record custom procedures and manage the acceptance/refusal of the third party invoices
• Collaborate with others in the accounting department to ensure all financial actions are accurate.
• Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained.
• Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports to senior-level managers.
• Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments, current financial legislation, and company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Competences – knowledge and skills
Educational background
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional Experience: Minimum 1 year of accounting experience is preferred. Accounting enthusiast; High level of attention to detail; Mathematical aptitude; Self motivator; Good communicator, both oral and written;

Particular skills required for the position:

• Ability to organize work, interpersonal skills and to work under pressure and in a diverse and challenging environment.
• Ability to use and learn new computer systems
• Ability to keep documents well organized
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
