Merchandising Portfolio Expert – Handsets & Accessories
Purpose of Position: Actively participate in working within Terminals Operations and Merchandise Management Department, related to support products negotiations, delivery, contracts and contacts with Vendors/Suppliers. Participate in commercial negotiations with the company vendors of handsets/ terminals and equipment. Support the distribution, ordering and the related logistics. Monitor the Global trends and propose future products portfolio. Follow the stock volumes and expected deliveries. Coordinate activities and supplies with segments (Retail and Business). Understand organization's range of products/services as well as organization's strategy and policies.
Main Tasks:
- Act as contact point for vendors concerning new models, propose portfolio evaluation against customer segmentation /One services.
- Maintain relationship with the Vendors.
- Support the preparation of yearly/ quarterly/ monthly sales forecasts in cooperation with sales channels and segments (Retails and Business) teams.
- Coordinate the ordering and logistics processes of the products.
- Explore and communicate internally Vendor product roadmaps and Global industry trends and future products recommendations.
- Follow and control portfolio size / content / pieces per segment, considering and coordinating P&S CUD (common users database) and GA/Renewals, and merchandising standards of One chain.
- Monitor and follow up deliveries (vs. forecast) and alerts on issues related to pricing, segments and sales.
- Participate in negotiations for short term deals and purchases of handsets not included in One portfolio.
- Participate and support the implementation of new promotional bundles / offers / services related to the product portfolio.
- Align with segments on campaign / actions.
- Participate the process of device testing and customization according to the Company’s requirements.
- Monitor relevant technology and market trends.
- Monitor and analyse prices and trends on the market and proposes relevant actions when necessary, in coordination with segments (Retail and Business).
- Inventory management (KPI, bad stock, orders <PR/PO>, delivery times, etc.).
- Perform quarterly estimation of bad stock and propose respective bad stock actions.
- Coordinate and control the purchasing of products in products category according to the approved policy and procedures.
- Control creation of new code items for the new products, proper insertion of updated device prices into the systems.
- Inform Sales departments on availability, order status, new launches, product discontinuations, gives solution in case of insufficient availability etc.
- Monitors analyse market – competition promotions – price ranges, brands, subsidies levels for different tariffs/ contract periods.
- Accessories – E2E responsibility, co-ordinate negotiations with Sourcing and Logistic Departments.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the line manager and in accordance with the employees’ qualification and responsibilities.
Education: University Degree.
Experience: In Product Management, Sales, Point of Sales promotions. At least three years of previous experience on the area.
Skills: Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. Initiative & Creativity, Customer oriented skills, Negotiation skills. Experienced in business terms of Service Agreements, Experienced in Telecom Industry, Knowledge in Product & Services Implementation, Excellent English Language skills, Excellent MS Office skills.
