Description
Responsible for managing the tax affairs of the VF-AL, representing the company internally and externally on all Local & Group tax matters.
Responsible to ensure appropriate internal controls are in place, in line with local statutory laws and IFRS, and critically examine potential issues where financial risks and opportunities may be drawn out for tax line items.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Ensuring the company meets all tax obligations by preparing and submitting tax returns
Ensure timely and complete submissions of all reporting requirements to Vodafone Group Tax
Provide relevant, data, information, analysis, and preparation of Group Tax packs
Prepare and ensure the timely submission of VAT books.
Ensure tax payments for corporate tax and VAT.
Responsible to ensure tax and regulatory compliance, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax, etc.
Monitor compliance of filing requirements and own all process linked to tax accounting and reporting.
Provide procedural guidance and clarifications to internal teams on Tax matters.
Drive smooth closure of tax lines in yearly financial audit.
Responsible for management reporting on tax matters.
Manage tax audits including coordination with finance team and outside advisors.
Draft submissions replies and letters to tax authorities.
Assist in managing local tax controversies including administrative appeals and litigations.
Seek opinions and inputs from tax consultants.
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and management of action of open items on the accounts
Posting of tax journals
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
Excellent knowledge of Albanian fiscal legislation
Expert in Tax returns and reporting Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under time pressure.
Ability to work in a team
Distinguished analytical skills
Adaptive to a multi-cultural working environment
Demonstrate strong Team spirit and interpersonal communication skills
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounting/Taxation.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
University Degree in Finance or Economics (bachelor’s degree).
Fluent English knowledge is a must.
Solid knowledge of Excel (functions and formulas).
Knowledge of ERP/SAP system.
