Description


Digital within Vodafone is going through some big changes. We are transforming our Digital capabilities & developing a world leading omni-channel experience for our users. To support this change, we are significantly investing in our Digital team and are looking for a UX specialist to help us continually improve the digital experience for our users.
As a UX designer, you’ll be responsible for planning and designing effective digital experiences following user centred design principles for our online customers. You will need to ensure user needs are balanced with business goals, and that your design decisions are driven by data.

You’ll work closely with a wide range of colleagues including Designers, Product Managers, Developers, Scrum Masters to understand and interpret requirements, identify opportunities, and create compelling and intuitive digital journeys that are technically feasible and adhere to Vodafone’s design system.

Your day-to-day activities will include creating user journeys, flows, sketches, wireframes and prototypes, and liaising with our research department to validate proposed solutions with users.


Job Responsibility



Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Undertaking qualitative research to understand the needs and behaviours of our core user base. You will lead on moderated & remote user research studies with our customers through quantitative (CC, Adobe analytics, etc) analysis and qualitative (1-2-1 interview) research identifying customer need, goals and pain points.
• Analyse the collected data and define the Problem to be solved. Create the User Persona to represent the different user types that might use the product & Services to identify and explore the business need so the Product/service brings value to the company
• Create and lead on workshops with our Commercial team to understand how to best utilize our digital journeys within an omni-channel business through applying Design Thinking methodologies to design user centric solution taking all shareholders’ interests into consideration.
• Design the operation Flow chart, User stories as well as step by step low - fidelity Wireframes to explore screen concepts utilized by your Design colleagues to constantly improve Vodafone’s web and app UI.
• Design information architecture and craft any text the user encounters when the user interacts with the product ensuring a smooth experience
• You will embrace A/B & multivariate testing to ensure that new user flows and journeys are performing against set KPI’s around conversion and TNPS.
• Lead User testing: prior to final UI design with real users to get first feedback and check if the design meets the users’ needs using either low – fidelity or mid – fidelity prototypes.
• Assist/main contributor in final user testing with the final product/service to ensure that the design has been completely developed and all features meet the standards
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Good time-management skills
• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
• Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• You have worked as a UX designer/researcher.
• You will have experience working alongside visual and interaction design.
• Have experience in working with products.
• Have experience in running workshops with business stakeholders.
• Experience in working with web analytics packages.
