Description
Provide technical support to business customers on field. Troubleshoot all technical problems and determine source, and recommend appropriate action. Is part of business customer installation processes, including survey, installation and support.
Use appropriate computer systems to log and report technical problems and their resolution. Help customers with hardware configurations and equipment testing. Help the relevant departments with ideas for development.
Job Responsibility
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Organize support and new installation field visits based on the priority given.
• Perform new installations or repair work to the highest company standards.
• Performs installations of equipment like switches, routers, and MW links. Perform all actions for maintenance and repair in the POPs, HUBs or other places required for network needs.
• Configure CPE routers, Mikrotik/ONU/ Wireless, VoIP, Mail Server, Mail Client, etc
• Complete all records and reports professionally according to company procedures and standards.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
• Good knowledge of products and services, IP protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, FTP, HTTP, DHCP, SMTP), and the ability to install and support all customer equipment.
• Knowledge of, software & best practices, on LAN Networks.
• High levels of self-motivation, energy and initiative
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Good time management skills are essential in order to achieve personal and team objectives and meet deadlines. Takes accountability for identifying & addressing service issues
• Organised and able to prioritise effectively
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• University studies covering Telecommunication / IT sciences. Qualified at least with Bachelor Degree.
• Telecommunication technology know-how varying from Network, Operations areas, latest technology developments.
• Knowledge of Fixed Network Products and Services currently in market (local/global )
