Description

To support the Data Governance (DG) project; define, design, develop, manage, and deliver Data Governance that meets the current and future needs of Vodafone Albania market.
In addition to the governance implementation project, the role will support DB ongoing activities:
o Data Governance accountabilities are correctly assigned, including reassignment of accountabilities in response to organisational changes.
o Revisions to Data Governance policies and standards are approved, communicated, and implemented locally.
o Ensuring compliance with the Data Governance policies and standards.

Job Responsibility

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Empowering the Local Market and Data Programmes to understand, analyse and present their data in a relevant manner by working with Data Governance applications and technical teams.
• Control and enforce the Data Governance Policy through engagement across the company, assess Data Governance level of maturity and identify key gaps to full implementation and Design of the projects/programmes required to meet strategic objectives relating to Corporate Data Governance.
• Providing day-to-day management of the Data Governance programme and managing the KPI’s and success criteria including auditory measures, development and maintenance of a detailed programme work plan. Production of the programme-wide status reports and supporting information required
• Providing programme-wide change control and risk and issue management, including escalation of risks and issues raised by Local PMOs.
• Coordination and conduct of reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with the Data Governance policy and standards.
• Focused on delivery of data governance programs, operationalising from design to implementation from policy and process to standards and BAU, embedding data governance as a culture.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:
• A “strategic mind-set”, i.e., the ability to focus upon the strategic objectives that the programme/project is intended to deliver and make changes as necessary to continue to meet those objectives.
• Excellent communication/presentational skills, including the ability to produce high quality written documents.
• A good understanding of information lifecycle management, enterprise architecture, interoperability, cataloguing solutions, data modelling, master data management and carrying out business audits, requirements gathering.
• Strong experience in establishing and running data governance forums, operating models, data standards, meta data, data dictionary and business dictionary across the organisation. Should be able to deal with the senior stakeholders as well as the analysts.
• Strong communication skills; acting as a representative for cultural change and comfortable in driving the work without direct lines of reference.
• The ability quickly to establish credibility at senior levels and to influence senior stakeholders, backed up by excellent presentational skills.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• An excellent working knowledge of programme/project management methodologies and techniques
• A strong understanding of data management principles and technologies that support this area with experience in developing and implementing Data Strategy, including best practices and methodologies for data related projects and initiatives across late organisations.
• proven track record of implementing Data Governance Frameworks, and knowledge of related industry frameworks such as COBIT, DAMA ISO 270002, BCBS-239 are an advantage.
